| Cost? Any wedding band will cost $40.00 to show up (Waikiki & Ala Moana), and $110.00 after we find it ($150 total). Gold and Platinum wedding bands are $160 as a minimum ($200 total) If you dont know exactly where you lost the ring in the water, its $75.00* to show up and $75.00 to $125 minimum if we find it, this buys you 1 hour of my time in the water (Waikiki- AlaMoana) Being the best in the island it can take 2 minutes to 3 hours as long as you know where it is. If you are dealing with a diamond ring or piece of jewelry it is best to be honest and fair with us, as dishonest and cheap people usually cause problems. A negotiable fee is required before I search for your item: We ask that you offer at least $200 if the value of the item is $500 A ring with a 1/4 carat diamond usually is $200.00 a 1/2 carat engagement ring will usually run $300 to $525 ........if your item goes past $3000.00 its a good idea to offer 15% of the value Please note, I DO NOT want your rings or jewelry, I prefer to have cash and return your item, we both walk away friendly & happy and my Karma wont kill me or injure me. Drive cost: Some areas of Oahu are very long drives for me, and prices for that are made by quotes, ex: North Shore is $140.00 just to show. Kaneohe, Waimanalo and Kailua is $130.00 just to show. Sandy beach and Makapuu is $100.00 I factor in the drive cost and recovery fee to make it fair for both of us, both are negotiable. |

You do NOT want to tell anyone you lost a ring or item, keep that to yourself, some places on Oahu, you do not want to say you (we) will be doing metal detecting (state parks, military bases, private beaches - Koolina). Often times its the person you tell that will go in and find your ring or item and keep it (lifeguard or beach attendant or their friends). Hanauma bay searches must be done on a rental basis, I will give you details later. If you lost your ring or item in water over your head (more than 5 feet deep) or far offshore, and want to rent a metal detector, you will have to be able to scuba dive, or you may have to consider the item is totally lost | |
| We are always called by the Outrigger Canoe Club when any member loses a valuable item, wwe have also been called by the Royal Hawaiian Hotel's and the Halekulani concierge desk to recover a guests lost ring. | |
We found the ring below in the craiglist lost ad, a guy claiming to be "the best in the island" could not find it, 2 others searched too, the ring sat in the water 10 days! We were given the $500 reward and a $40 gratuity for our time |
